FLIR Partners with the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation

This week, FLIR announced that it has become a sponsor of the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation (NFFF). As part of the sponsorship, FLIR will help fund programs that honor fallen firefighters, assist their survivors, and aid in the prevention of future line-of-duty deaths and injuries by delivering additional FLIR thermal imaging cameras (TICs) to the firefighting community.

The United States Congress created the NFFF in 1992 to lead a nationwide effort to remember America's fallen firefighters. The non-profit foundation has developed and expanded programs to honor fallen fire heroes and assist their families and coworkers. The NFFF also works closely with the fire service to help prevent and reduce line-of- duty deaths and injuries.

As the leader in thermal imaging technology, FLIR produces a variety of TICs for firefighters, from handheld and ladder-mounted cameras to cab-top and aerial drone kits. By providing a range of thermal imaging products, FLIR allows firefighters to gain a wider range of perspectives from multiple angles. Along with helping firefighters see their way in complete darkness and through smoke, FLIR TICs help them identify hot spots, remain oriented, and locate and rescue victims easily, ultimately improving awareness and safety.

FLIR is honored to partner with NFFF and continue their mission to outfit every firefighter with a thermal imaging camera, helping them work safer and save more lives.
